The Things I Wear: In Search for a Wedding Dress (for my wedding themed birthday party)
I tried on a few dresses at Cure Thrift Shop yesterday, as they have a super fun selection of fancy frocks to wear… and of course in true Cure style, it turned into a shoot. What’s a wedding themed party without some sort of wedding shoot?
Don’t worry y’all, I have a glitzy prom dress that I will be wearing as well, but I figured I would pull a Kim Kardashian and make a wardrobe change halfway through.
My other dress options are above, in which we have:
- “Traditional White Wedding” Bride - BCBG
- “Southern Belle” Bride - Vintage
- “Mod” Bride - D&G
- “Quirky” Bride - Betsey Johnson
- “I DGAF. This Evening Gown Looks Amazing on Me and I would Totes Wear Midnight Blue to My Wedding” Bride
Check out more photos here.
If you still haven’t found anything to wear tonight, stop by the store… they have plenty of bridesmaid dresses to outfit my whole party. 111 E. 12th Street b/w 3rd and 4th Ave.

Rick & Sue, the city of New York thanks you!
There is a place.
Like no place on Earth.
A land full of wonder, mystery, & danger!
Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter.
Cure’s Liz & Ali with Bianca & Mallory of Small Girls PR
Yeah teamwork!
We were thinking our Birthday Spectacular last night will be the first of many parties we throw at Cure Thrift Shop.
What do you think??

Born and bred New Yorker? Born & bred - 4th generation
Favorite part about summer in the city: Beaching it at Rockaway Beach
Ideal first date? Hitting up a bunch of Salvation Army stores outside of Manhattan, followed by laughs over Italian ices.
Best pizza in NY: Mozarelli’s, Gramercy. They make the most amazing gluten free pizza - my husband has Celiac disease, so we scour the city for the best of the GF.
Where would you have your birthday party? Hot Skates in Long Island. Rollerskating + pizza + music = FUN
